The week between Christmas and New Year's Day is one of the busiest weeks at Walt Disney World. All of the parks are crowded during this time.
Because it is a lot of fun and many, many people want to be there.
It is pretty busy. I wouldn't recommend going. Not half as busy as the Magic Kingdom, but still not one of the best days to visit.
While it isn't one of the lowest attendance weeks (that's actually the week after Thanksgiving), there are usually less than average crowds.
It's likely very crowded, since Walt Disney World is the most visited theme park destination in the world. There is also lots of construction going on since Disney is working on major renovations at Magic Kingdom and Downtown Disney.
Roy Disney, brother of Walt Disney (1899-1966) opened Disney World (now Walt Disney World, or formally The Walt Disney World Resort) near Orlando, Florida in 1971.

December would have all of the Christmas lights and decorations which are beautiful but it's very crowded at that time of year. September is much less crowded but doesn't have any of the decorations up.
In the summer time and around holidays. They are always crowded but those times attract more people than ever
The Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World opened on October 1, 1971. Critics thought that it was not going to be crowded, but when the gates open it was packed.
Disney in Orlando is amazing! the summer is a popular time to go there so i would dodge June July and august. winter is slower and only a little crowded. may is most commonly starting to get crowded because children are getting out of school. going over spring or winter break would be the best time to go.
If this is your Spring Break, it will most likely be VERY crowded. Spring Break is the top travel time to Disney Parks. For the least crowded times, try these dates: January (except New Year's Day) until just prior to Presidents' week in February The week following Labor Day until just prior to Thanksgiving week The week following Thanksgiving until the week prior to Christmas
It's Disney World!
