For the economic problems, Hitler made service in the army mandatory, so lots of previously unemployed people were no longer unemployed. He also expanded some larger firms. He tried to make Germany a self-sufficient country, meaning there was little imported. This helped boost the economy after the inflation, and the drastic reparation due to WWI.

Who made Hitler?

Beyond the obvious answer, his mother and father, Hitler was a self made man. He was a man with some talent and a great deal of paranoia. His formative years were of a time from WWI to the depression and, having served in the war and experienced it's horrors, the treatment that Germany received after the war, and the subsequent depression made Hitler very, very angry. After having a number of personal failures, he found his true talent in words which he used to address the failures of his country which he believed were responsible for his failures and the economic hardships of the time (even though most of the western world were experiencing the same economic struggles). He used his words, writing and speeches, to convince Germany that he knew the source of Germany's problems and that he alone had the knowledge and the personal power to solve them. Regardless of the true cause of the hardships that Germany was suffering, his speeches were extremely effective; but because most of his ideas were hollow, his 1000 year Reich lasted only 12 years and left Germany and most of Europe in ruins and countless millions dead.

Why were the Germans drawn to Hitler's message?

In 1932 when Hitler won his seat in government the German people were suffering from unemployment ( 5.6 million unemployed) , inflation, and since WW 1 had been pay reparations to the winners of the war. They were also prevented from building a military and forced to return land they considered believed to be German. Hitler told them he could solve all of their problems and later made the Jewish population scapegoats for all the problems. He also blamed communism in the government. Thus, he was able to use the weaknesses of the government to take over the government.
