Henry decided that he no longer loved Anne because she couldn't give him a son and had fallen in love with Jane Seymour. He accused her of having an affair and of course found her guilty. As a result he had her beheaded but at the time when she was executed, Henry played a game of tennis!
Anne Boleyn's marriage to Henry VIII ended shortly before her execution- Henry sent her letters telling her that if she agreed to a divorce, she would be sent to a convent or to France. Anne was clever enough to know that if she refused, she would be executed, so she agreed. Henry lied, and sent her to the block anyway.
She was killed by having her head severed from her body (i.e. chopped off) for treason and debauchery. Rather than an axe being used however a particularly good executioner was hired from France at great expense who used a large sword. Henry was not at the execution.

she was executed may 19, 1536 under false charges of adultery and treason. but no matter what, Henry could not ever keep his beautiful, dead wife out of his mind. most people say that his last words were, "Anne, forgive me."
