How did Benjamin Franklin make the colonists lives better?
Franklin began publishing almanac's in 1733 that reviewed weather, recipes, and future predictions etc. He contributed to projects that would help pave, clean, and provide light to the streets of Philadelphia. He launched a library company, the first learned society in America, the Philadelphia's Union Fire Company, the Philadelphia Contribution for Insurance Against Loss by Fire, and formed the Pennsylvania Hospital. He also invented the first heat efficient stove to help heat up houses, swim fins, glass armonia (music instrument), and bifocals. Franklin was also one of the main activists for America's independence from England and helped write the Declaration of Independence.
