How did George Washington's father die?
Augustine Washington, George Washington's father, died from a sudden illness at home at age 49 when George was 11. Unfortunately, history does not record what specific illness he died of, but it seems to have some kind of gastric distress.
(In his will he describes himself as "sick and weak, but of sound sense")
His dad was a father no doubt about it~!!!!! Washingtons dad was a very tall man!!! He was also fair and kind!!!! His life span was (1694-1743)... I am not doin the math so you can figure out how old he was when he dided!!! His dad was a planter and he dided when Washington was only 11 years old!!!!
George Washington's Father was a successful farmer. His mother was a housewife. He was home schooled. Rather than attend school, he borrowed books from his neighbors and would read and discuss them. His father died when George was 12. George took over the farm. In the winter he worked as a surveyor. He was a good writer and quite personable.
