∙ 14y agoThe biblical birth of John the Baptist takes place in Luke's Gospel, and the Gospel does not necessarily place his birth in Bethlehem. The biblical slaughter by King Herod only takes place in Matthew's Gospel and seems from the context to only have applied to infants in and around Bethlehem.
