Roman Catholic AnswerProbably the biggest miracle that he performed was akin to the early Apostles, he reconverted everyone in his diocese from the protestant faith back to Catholicism. St. Francis de Sales was Bishop of Geneva from the late 16th century through the early 17th century. He is a doctor of the Church and is most famous for his book, Introduction to the Devout Life. His book, Introduction is a classic on leading a Christian life, and explains prayer quite well. St. Francis spent his entire life in prayer to God, and implemented it throughout his life: he went into Geneva to reconvert the protestants who were second and third generation heretics from the protestant revolt earlier in the century. He was wildly successful, the entire region, over 61,000 souls returned to the Church. His tracts that he composed for this purpose have been gathered into the book, The Catholic Controversy, which forms a complete proof for the Catholic faith and is still sold today.

St. Francis de Sales is known for his spiritual miracles, particularly in his ability to convert individuals with his gentle and compassionate approach. He is also attributed with miraculous healings and helping individuals find peace and inner spiritual growth through his teachings and guidance. While no physical miracles such as healing the sick or walking on water are typically associated with him, his powerful impact on others' spiritual lives is considered miraculous in its own right.

A person can only become a saint if there is proof that they performed at least one miracle. The greatest miracle of Saint Francis is that he single-handedly converted more than 61,000 people back to Catholicism, after they converted to Protestants.

Attached is the Catholic Encyclopedia article for St. Giovanni Melchior Bosco (St. John Bosco). But it mentions no connection to St. Francis de Sales. St. John Bosco was born in 1815 and died in 1888 in Italy. St. Francis de Sales was born in 1567, and was Bishop of Geneva two generations after the protestant revolt, he died in 1622 after converting nearly all the protestants in his diocese back to the Catholic Church.

St. John Bosco was an exemplary priest who took in wayward boys who were wondering homeless, gave them a home, instilled in them frequent confession, frequent Communion, and daily Mass, and educated them. St. Francis de Sales was a big influence on St. John Bosco, who adopted his spirituality and philosophy and took St. Francis de Sales as his patron.
