All below are long term effects:

Three main reasons were 1.Religion 2. Culture 3. Lifestyle for religion, when the spanish attacked they forced the inca's to follow the religion of Christianity but before when the priest of the spanish offered Atahualpa (Incan Leader) the holy bible all he did is throw it on the ground. For Culture, Since their leader had been executed the were no longer aware of their culture since they had been obeying the spanish for 9 months and so that affected them for the rest of their lives since they had no new leader but after the ransom was made before Atahualpa's execution Manco II came in a was named leader and brought culture back. For Lifestyle, The inca's were also forced to live the way the spanish did so they got used to their lifestyle which made a huge difference for the inca's.

What was the European impact positive or negative on Spanish America?

Spanish America is by definition a region totally changed by Europeans. The Spanish and their language are European. The Spanish language and culture was imposed, usually with great brutality, on the inhabitants of what became Spanish America, after the Spanish had destroyed the original languages, religions and cultures, and imposed themselves as masters over the native Indian inhabitants, who were enslaved or made serfs by the Spanish after the Spanish Conquest. This has affected Latin American society for five centuries, down to the present. The creation of Spanish America from the indigenous civilizations (Inca, Aztec, etc) may be the greatest cultural genocide in modern history. Its success can be seen by the way many descendants of Indios regard Spanish as their original native language. It is not. It is the language of the European conqueror and colonizer.

How did the spanish conquest change the Americas?

The Spanish Conquest changed the lives of the natives forever. For one, the natives no longer had their freedoms, and were now under the control of the Spanish empire. The natives also fought against the Spanish that were trying to convert them to Catholicism. While the natives and Spanish did trade and exchanged pleasantries, the arrival of the Spanish fleet signaled a change that would be felt forever.
