∙ 8y agoThe US entered World War 2 after Japan did an ariel bombing of Pearl Harbor. Up until that point, the United States was taking a stance of neutrality. After the bombing, on December 7, 1941, President Roosevelt announced the US was entering the war. Many people believe that the US immediately struck back with the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, but that did not happen until August of 1945.
