Was the appeasment in world war 2 a mistake?

This is really a question of opinion but I study World War 2 a lot, so my opinion might amount to something. I think that it was a mistake because getting sudetenland from czechslovakia, strengthened Hitler's supporting base, which was vast enough already. The sudets were german-speaking people that felt persecuted in Czechslovakia. By appeasing to Hitler's demand, the allies made Germany stronger and well, truth be told, nobody really wanted to have another war. However, the war might not have lasted as long if they had nipped the problem in the buds which would be to say, no appeasement, and plot against Hitler since he had announced himself as an enemy of Europe. This is purely my opinion though.

Did the munich agreement bring an end to Germany's aggression in Europe?

The Munich Agreement was supposed to ensure "peace in our time" by allowing Germany to invade Austria to create an alliance with them. By the summer of 1938, Germany and Czechoslovakia began to quarrel over the disputed border area of the Sudetenland. War was imminent. The prime minister of England, Neville Chamberlain, proposed a conference to settle the crises. The conference was held in Munich on 29 & 30 September and Czechslovakia was not invited. Mussolini played a dynamic role as negotiator as well as interpreter. The result was that England and France gave away Czechslovakia in a hope to maintain peace and avoid war.

Who won World War 1 and what did they win?

The Allies (United States, Russia, Belgium, France, Great Britain, Italy, and more than 30 other countries) won World War I. They did not win anything in return, only that the two powers (Allies and Central Powers) signed the Treaty of Versailles, stating that Germany would be held fully responsible for the war, Germany had to pay an equivalent to some 30 billion dollars today, and Germany had to demilitarize its armed forces. Also, Poland, Czechslovakia, and other parts of Germany and Austria-Hungary were now split up into their own independent countries. Nothing was won by the Allies except for the pleasure of peace that remained until 1929 until the end of the second deadliest world war.
