Tunisian people speak Arabic and French.
From 1881 to 1956, Tunisia was under French rule. The French language was taught to Tunisian children, who in turn taught it to their children. Of course, many Tunisians still speak Arabic (the official language) but there are still French speakers there.
Tunisians can talk at least 3 language (arabic,french and english) but german is popular here also.
They were treated so poorly in Haiti that the slaves rebelled and overthrew the French.

The Indians were mostly upset with the Americans and decided to help the French out of retaliation. The French were nice to the Indians and treated them well and the natives in turn favored the French. The liked the French so they wanted to help them win so that they could be treated better and live peacefully under French "control" because they feared if Americans won that they would be treated terribly again.
