The end of World War I, especially for Germany, the conditions were extreme due to the Versailles Peace Treaty conditions. These conditions included that Germany could not be an ally of Austria/Hungary, rebuild its military, and must pay back the costs of rebuilding the countries that suffered extreme damage during the war. These are but a few conditions that were imposed upon Germany. In 1933, the German people accepted the promises of a young man who had recently been freed from jail as their national leader. Adolph Hitler gained power on the promise to free the country of communism, and in then he proceeded to break the treaty piece by piece. He not only rebuilt the army but he also invaded and pushed Austria/Hungary back into ally status, and on September 3, 1939, German forces invaded Poland and England and France officially declared war on Germany beginning World War II.
