Why was techno created?

Techno music was created in the mid to late 1980's in Detroit Michigan. It is said that four individuals are responsible for the creation of Techno, or new alternative dance music; there names are Juan Atkins, Kevin Saunderson, Derrick May, and Eddie Fowlkes.

i believe disco scene transformed into the rave scene. so, i think that's where techno emerged.

When Disco hit the 70's, people started dancing and they loved the music so much that most of the other genres such as the rock band and pop musicians tried to destroy Disco in reputation wise, because during those days the black people and homosexuals had less to no rights and they didn't have much of their rights to join rock bands, and because of this, Disco allowed all the people who love the music to join together. Then later on ,Disco lost its touch due to the other artists like Steve vai during his rock bands he would put lots of hate into the Disco, making it look bad and then it started to die out, then in the 80's it worked underground as both House and Techno music, and this is how it came to be, House dealt more with the Disco factor while Techno dealt more with the original electronic sounds of Kraftwerk. Later in the 90's they both merged making lots of new electronic Music Genres.

It developed starting as 3-4 guys in a garage with a soundboard in Middlebelt, Michigan.

It was a very crude sound at the time, and has slowly developed using synth, custom sound effects, and many influences from other groups, a lot of techno is derived from popular songs.

A lot of people say that it started in Detroit, when in fact it was in Middlebelt. Detroit was simply used to gain more popularity because of its bad reputation.
