How did the Libyans and Arabian Deserts affect the development of the civilization in ancient Egypt?

Based on being located between the Arabian and Libyan deserts, Egypt became dependent upon the Nile River which flows north into the Mediterranean from Lake Victoria. Due to low rainfall in the region, the Nile was important to its development. It provided a fertile region in the middle of the two deserts and allowed Egyptians to develop a powerful empire based on agricultural wealth.
