Simply without the Nile there would be no Egypt just desert, it is Egypt's only river. The river provided a source of water and life in the form of fertile soil to grow food and the annual flood provided extra water and more fertile soil in the form of the silt it left behind. It also provided a means of transport especially in the building of the pyramids etc.

It effected them in good & bad ways{mostly good}.

Some good ways it effected them is, it provided them food, water and maybe some supply.

Even if the Nile flooded, it brought good & bad! It brought good when it flooded because it watered their crops and left a layer of silt which made the soil very fertile. Bad because, well, homes were destroyed.

The Nile River was a crucial element in the development of ancient Egypt Civilization. This civilization depended on the annual floods of the Nile to make their lands very fertile for growing essentials like flax, papyrus, and wheat right on the banks of the river. These could in turn be traded for even more goods.
