The Roman army on the march must have been an awesome sight. Not only was a legion of roughly 5,000 men moving, but there could be two or three legions moving out at the same time. The men were lined up in marching formation and were led by their standards and the legion eagle. The precise order of the march depended upon where they were, where they were going, and what their objective was. The very basic marching formation was the infantry in the center and the cavalry either in the rear or split off to the sides of the main body of troops. Again, this depended upon the terrain and the reasons mentioned above. The baggage train brought up the rear with a cohort or two assigned to march behind it in order to guard it. The infantry walked, the cavalry rode and the officers either rode horses or even traveled i n a carriage like Julius Caesar.
At the end of the day's march, the legions would build a camp. The camp building by the Romans was set up in a distinct manner and left the soldiers in position to break camp in an orderly manner and proceed with their march.
The Roman soldiers traveled all over the empire. As to how they traveled, it depended on their rank. An officer would have a horse or a carriage and the cavalry would use their horses. The ordinary soldier used his own two feet, carrying his equipment on a pole slung over his shoulder.
The Romans traveled by land and by sea. By land they used wagons or carts or a caravan of them, depending upon where they were going and the purpose of their trip. Horseback was used for messengers or imperial couriers. They also traveled by sea in sailing season. Many times their travels used both sea and land travel, such as a vacation trip (the Romans were great tourists). The network of good Roman highways made land travel efficient and the seas were safe from pirates.
the infantry traveled by foot, cavalry and generals by horse. because of the roads this was done rather fast.
The Romans created many roads to travel on in their many foreign territories.
On foot, horses, chariots, ships...
they built roads in order to travel faster
So that their armies and their trade goods could get rapidly from one place to another.

Cities in Europe are located at the banks of rivers because the people use the rivers as transport routes to transport goods from place to place
They provoked the soldiers and threw things at them!
So they could get from place to place
Because it was a nice place to build roads and develop
So that their armies and their trade goods could get rapidly from one place to another.
Roman Roads. They used them to transport troops from one place to another quickly. By Nick Andrews
You build a diorama. You will need to research what place & time you are depicting. You will need some models of soldiers of the period. Perhaps a vehicle or two ....
degree to which a product can fill the available place in transport vehicle
bark canoes
A nice place
Diffusion (passive transport) needs no energy to take place, and therefore no need for transport or carrier protiens. Active transport uses carrier protiens, as the cell needs to work against a concentration gradient. This requires energy. Diffusion can take place outside of cells Active transport can't take place outside of cells.
You can transport your horse in a horse trailer
The difference between osmosis and active transport is that osmosis takes place only in water molecule and active transport takes place in takes place in the internal lining of the small intestine. 2 osmosis takes place in presence of concentration gradient and active transport against the concentration gradient.
The most important meeting place for Romans was the Forum.
