It was the quickest, most efficient, and sometimes the only way to import them from Africa.

Mainly because they were from Africa. Between Africa and the U.S. is a big thing called an ocean, traveled by boat.

Indentured servants would travel with their masters in the same transportation devices. However, they would not be treated equally, and if they were being transported by boat, they would be on the bottom, and not have the same benefits.

The slaves were carried by ship if it was a overseas purchase. But if bought by land, they would of either went by wagon or by the owner's choice. Walking, Riding Horse, Riding in wagon, etc.
