the steel plow made farmers lives easier because before john deere invented it, there was only the iron plow. when farmers plowed the ground the soil stuck to the iron making farmers have to clean it regularly. the steel plow cleaned itself and relieved the farmer's burdens. it brought more people into the American west. And it broke up clumpy soil so that it was easier to dig through the dirt.

∙ 11y agoThe steel plow allowed farming a the economy to increase, at a different view, it took away jobs for Americans so it can also be stated that it worsened the economy. My personal preference is the first one.

∙ 13y agothe effect of the plow helped the farmers back then to turn over dry soil. It became possible to grow more food than the family needed, so farmers could sell the excess. And that made it possible for some people to spend their time doing things other than grow their own food. Storing grains provided food for rodents, too.
