The first Harry Potter book was not issued until 1997. Given the lack of availability of time travel in 1950, it would be likely that the cost would be infinite.
The movie has been out for years so not much. Depends where you buy it.
Both the book and movie, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, can be purchased for a small amount as they've been out for a while. On Amazon, the book costs $6.29 and the DVD is $8.49.
It depends what one. First editions will be worth a lot if you sell them to the right people. The earlier books will of course be worth more than the later ones.

The most popular Harry Potter book is Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone (but in my opinion it is the fourth) "well, its all the same but the best book i recommend is the last one ^_^
