Exparte means when the decree is passed in the absence of the defendant. when the plaintiff appears and the defendant doesnot appear ,the court hears the suit and pass exparte decree .

you can motion the court for a re vamp of the parenting agreement /visitation...they will send you both to mediaition and if that doesn't work then you get a GAL (Guadian ad Lietum) for the child all costs incurred by both of you if you petition the court for it to be split....but you will both have to appear and the other person will be notified that is just how it works...call your local child support agency they will help
