The third period of the Middle Ages was the Late Middle Ages. The first is called the Early Middle Ages or the Dark Age. The second period was the High Middle Ages.

There was no nylon in the Middle Ages. Nylon was invented in the 20th century; the Middle Ages ended in the 15th.

Health in the middle ages (also known as the Medieval times) was very poor. Most villagers died of common diseases such as fever. There were very few doctors and all remedies did little to help. In some cases, it made it worse.
Travel was limited in the middle ages because the roads were really holey and bumpy. Sometimes farmers ploughed the road and carts couldn't get past. They did not have suspension either so the travel wasnt very comfy and relaxed like it is now a days.
The period of time from 500 AD to 1500 AD is called the Middle Ages.
