How did world war 1 change when Planes were being used?

enemy positions and troop movements could be observed and photographed from the sky. This improved intelligence.

bombs could be dropped directly over targets instead of only attacking them with artillery from far away.

The fast, maneuverable planes were armed with machine guns and were used as fighters, to protect the bombers or strafe ground targets.

All this meant that the battlefield became more fluid and helped to solve the stalemate caused by trench warfare.
