not too difficult with the right tools. if you need to buy the tools to do the job, youll probably spend more than the labor to have a pro do it! Yeah, but then you'll have more tools!! ******Not too hard...just did mine...all you need is a low profile puller for the pulley if you dont want to remove the radiator.....1. Remove the battery. 2. Siphon the steering fluid out of the reservoir tank. 3. Disconnect the return hose from the pump. 4. Disconnect the pressure line at the pump by removing the union bolt. ( Remove 2 vaccum hose if with RWAL) 5. Loosen the drive belt pulley retaining nut. Loosen the idler pulley and adjusting bolt and remove the drive belt. 6. Remove the pulley and the woodruff key. (This is the sad part, depending on how tight the pulley is, you might end up denting the pulley so be ready to buy a new one. but you can reuse the woodruff key.) 7. Remove the Power Steering pump....Installation is in reverse.... then Bleed the system...... Note: 1. If your vehicle is equipped with RWAL, have the dealer bleed and check the system since they have the ABS checker. Without the RWAL you're good to go.... 2. New or Reman P/S Pump dont come with the vaccun valve, so remove the valve from the old pump and transfer it to the new one....
no, it just screws into the steering box and screws into the power steering pump, or it might use a hose clamp for the power steering pump, it just depends.
