Easter Sunday is usually celebrated with family and friends. A Catholic may celebrate with Mass on Easter Sunday or the night before, called the Easter Vigil. It is a joyfull day of happiness because the Lord has Risen from the dead and has overcome this world and it's evil and has thereby given all a chance to do the same.
Depending on the denomination, in many cases it is pretty much the same as Catholics do, but without Mass. We do have church services on Christmas if it is on a Sunday, and many Protestants decorate their homes with Christmas trees and other traditional decorations. There are some denominations and even some individual churches that are Protestant that do not believe in celebrating Christmas, but the majority do. Another thing common in Protestant churches is a Christmas play, depicting the birth of Christ and the visit of the shepherds, etc., in which children often participate. Most Protestants also give and receive presents on Christmas Day, and often there is a big meal with family members that might not see each other much during the rest of the year.
Yes. All (legitimate) Christian denominations celebrate Easter, because without it there is no basis for Christianity. However, some denominations place more importance on it than others.
Those claiming to be Christian, but who are outside of Christianity will not tend to celebrate it with the fervor that legitimate Christian denominations do. In the Oneness Pentecostal church I grew up in for instance, the only special thing about that day was that all the kids got candy.
The Catholic Church celebrates Easter by first preparing for it. The time of preparation, which is called Lent, is 40 days long and begins on Ash Wednesday. During Lent Catholic people will sacrifice things they enjoy, like deserts, and do extra good things, like donating to charities. Lent comes to a close on the evening of Holy Saturday, the Saturday before Easter sunday. Many priests celebrate a vigil mass on holy Saturday Evening. At this Mass and at the other Masses celebrated on Easter Sunday, a paschal candle is lit. This candle is decorated with a drawing of a lamb symbolizing Christ, the Lamb who was slain; the candle is also decorated with a cross of red wax. This candle represents the presence of the resurrected Christ on earth. At this Mass new members of the Catholic church are baptized, confirmed, and receive their first Holy Communion. The eight weeks after Easter are a time of rejoicing because Christ has risen.
Catholics celebrate Easter by attending mass on Easter Sunday. They also celebrate Lent prior to Easter by giving up something that they love.
Protestants don't really celebrate the Sabbath. On Sunday, however, they go to church and sing praises and learn about God, Jesus, and The Bible.
