How do Christian beliefs influence death?

Of course, Christians die like everyone else: that is obvious to everyone. However, the Christian hope is for life after death.

This was promised by Jesus for all those who believe and trust in him. It was taught by his Apostles, and it is believed by Christians.

This gives Christians hope at the time of death, as they look forward to a life in heaven.

Additonal Comment:

Every living creature will die. Regarding one's belief (any for that matter) and its affect upon death, one might say that stating or living a belief may appease or displease another who may allow that person to continue living or kill/have them killed. Consider Islamic teachings of non-Muslims or the Nazi regime and the Jews. History is replete with examples of this.
