The most common and simplest ways is with an HDMI cable. You can find them relatively cheap on the internet compared to actual stores.
Put them on the same network.
If you have a wireless router connect via wifi. If you don't you can connect the two laptops to the switch with an ethernet cable. If you don't have a wireless router you can connect the laptops via ad hoc network usuing the laptops wireless. And if the laptops happen to not have wireless you can always use a crossover cable.
