if you go to like best buy and tell them whats going on they will give this plug that wires into you rear speakers and it will plug into you rca jacks you have tune it so it sounds good but its only like 20 bucks so new stereo of 20 dollars im picking the 20 bucks if i strapped for cash

∙ 15y agoI used to install stereo equipment here in my town, and its not reccommended that you install a subwoofer without a amp! For one it will pull to much power through the wires and prob hurt your stereo, secondly it would be pointless because theres not enough power to allow the subwoofer do what it was intended to do! I recommend that you dont! but it can be done, but with little to no notice of any difference!

you cant hook a woofer to player! you could connect woofer to mixer or amp A cdj is only a CD player in the same way a car player needs a source of power to push the sound to your speakers so does the CD as said you need a amp if your sub woofer is preamped then technically you should be able to connect it directly to it but you will need to be careful of the sound output and realise that you will not be able to control the levels as well compared to if you were using a mixer or amp.

To my knowledge that will not work. I don't think there is a stock OEM audio system capable of powering a sub. (Unless it came with a sub/amp from the factory)

Yes it should be all right. Ratings for amp/speakers are approximate but as a rule it is preferable for the speaker to be rated higher than the amp.

a 500 watt sub woofer puts out 250 RMS a 500 watt amp puts out the same and if you want a good setup get a sub with RMS and a amp with 1200 max so 600 RMS will be powering the same 500 RMS sub woofer then you can tune it to push the sub woofer a bit and the sub woofer should take it I recommend ether mono single channel 2 channel brands go name brand if u want support later or go no name to be different
