This is pretty simple.
Basically you need to take off the belt and drain the oil out of the supercharger.
From there you have to loosen the 6 bolts that hook up the front of the supercharger to the back. (If you do not drain the oil, the oil will actually leak out once you take these bolts off, which can be messy, so that is why you want to drain the oil first.)
Then you just have to pull the nose away from the main body. And take out the coupler, which is located right on pins of the supercharger.
From there just slide the new coupler on. And then apply gasket maker to both ends of the supercharger main body and the nose.
Put back on the 6 bolts, and hook up all the lines and belts.
Fill up the supercharger with "GM Supercharger Oil" and you are done.
Taking your time, it should take around 1-2 hours.

It might be the supercharger going bad. The supercharger has a little coupler that is located in between the supercharger nose and the main body. This coupler is located inside and once it starts to wear out it will start making a clunk sound. You can replace the coupler, replace the nose, or rebuild the whole supercharger. If your supercharger is an Eaton type supercharger and it is making noise that is an early indication that the supercharger might need a rebuild. A lot of times the noise is actually coming from a little coupler that is located in the inside of the supercharger. This coupler has 6 holes in it and over time these rounded holes will wear out and become an oval shape. Once it becomes oval shape the supercharger will start to make a rattle sound. If left untreated the rattle will lead to the bearings going bad and then the seals. You will then need to get a complete rebuilt done on the supercharger. The coupler is easy to replace. You basically have to take the supercharger noise off with the 6 bolts that holds it and then once the two ends pull a part the coupler will be sitting right there. Just slide the coupler off of the pins and replace it. Then slide the two ends together and bolt it back up. You will also need to refill the supercharger with oil.

Usually the rattling sound is a sign that the supercharger is going bad. Basically there is a little coupler in between the supercharger front nose cone and the main supercharger housing. There are around 6 holes in it that connect the front of the supercharger to the back of the supercharger. Over time the round holes will turn oval and it will start making a sound. Once this starts to happen the rest of the supercharger will shortly go bad. You will then need to buy a rebuild supercharger. you may also want to check the oil level in the super charger as well. there is a check level under the wire harness ,just near the altinator you will need an Allen wrench to open it ,the oil level should be just as it hits the bottom threads . You can save money by purchasing a coupler repair kit off eBay. I just bought one that included the coupler, SC oil, gasket sealer, suction device, and a rag for $40. Watch that the directions are not for a M90, the 95 Rivi has a M62. Dont dissassemble the front of the engine thinking you can remove the snout without unbolting the SC from the intake. Just remove the fuel rail and injectors, loosten the 2 screws holding the PS resevior, and unbolt the supercharger. Tilt it up at the snout end enough to get clearence for the snout to be removed over the Alternator bracket. Put a clean rag and around a 2x2 piece of wood or similar and place it under the SC to brace it up in the air so you can remove snout bolts and snout. Separate the snout, replace coupler, regasket, and reuse the SC to intake gasket. 2 HR repair for an average weekend garage guy. I just completed it and my SC is QUIET and runs great! Many good repair shops are not aware of this repair on an M62. The M90 is easier.

empty the oil out of it then remove the bolts from the nose. i believe there is 13 of them but not sure. then carefully slide it off. remove the coupler. then replace the coupler. line up the holes and reattach the nose. replace the bolts and tighten them down. fill up the supercharger oil.
