I call my horse with a long low whistle but it differs per horse. Some horses react to your smell or the sight of you and wander over. A bucket of food can be shaken and the rattling and smell of food may attract some horses and you can just try shouting their name. It may take a few different trial and error attempts but you'll soon find your own method of calling your horse in.
Hope this helps

Yes they are. Colts mean male and filly means female. You would call a horse filly or colt when it is just born. After a couple of months you would just call it a foal. When it is a year old you should call it a mare or stallion ( gelding if it is neutered or spayed).
