Drop the pan, replace the filter and gasket, replace the pan and add Transmission Fluid.
It is inside the oil pan, is this is automatic. If not, there is no filter.
The manual shift transmission does not have a filter.

Is this vehicle automatic transmission? If so then the problem is a clogged transmission filter. Or valve body. Note that if the filter is plugged you probably have some clutch pack wear that can only be solved with a transmission rebuild.

If it is a manual transmission you do not have transmission cooler lines. If its an automatic they will be on one side of the radiator and you can follow them to the tranny from there.
from the transmission dipstick use some adaptor so you can drop your oild inside.

The recommended automatic transmission fluid is DEXRON-MERCON, and it requires 3 quarts.
If that is an automatic transmission, pull the dipstick and read it, it will tell what fluid to use.
