How do cheetahs move so fast?
Cheetahs are able to run so fast because they have special flexible spines that bend when they land and recoil like a spring when the cat pushes off, adding force to each speedy leap!
Depends on what you mean. Cheetahs are considered a cat specie - so Cheetahs ARE cats. Which makes cast as fast as Cheetahs. OTOH the particular cat specie known as the Cheetah is the fastest land animal. No other cat, or any other land specie is as fast as the Cheetah. Your regular domestic pet cat is a lot slower than a Cheetah.
The basic theory of evolution is this: Once upon a time, there was a population of cheetahs. There were some fast and some slow. They had to hunt, and since the slow one's couldn't catch the antelopes, many died. Then there were more faster cheetahs left and so a greater chance of two fast cheetahs mating/reproducing. This continued for a while until only fast cheetahs existed. This is called "natural selection."
Cheetahs On the Savannah where they live you could say it's fast food country. Their favorite prey is the gazelle and wild boar and these guys can run. Other cats have developed in a Clan society so they can gang up on their prey or set traps. The cheetah is strictly a loner so they have had to evolve into very fast runners to succeed. The cheetahs have adapted claws that are always extended. These…
First answer: who told u cheetahs are popular? they lied to you Their pattern makes them popular. Second answer: I like cheetahs because they are fast. They can dislocate their front legs slightly out of their sockets when they runs at full stretch, because they don't have collarbones. That helps make them fast. I also like the little tufts they have on their ears.
Cheetahs aren't the Strongest Big Cat on the plains. In fact, they're the weakest! They are fast and fragile, so they don't have much options when it comes to confrontation. They aren't strong enough to defend territory, so if food and water is scarce, or if another threat comes, it's time to move on. Also, Cheetahs don't migrate. They roam.
Cheetahs can run very fast because their bodies are made specially to do so. They are born with long noses to take in more oxygen while running, they are double jointed so that they can pounce, and they also have long claws to grip the ground and not to slip. If humans where born like this, they would run just as fast as cheetahs. But even though cheetahs are the fastest running land animals in…
Cheetahs have long bodies because it helps with speed. When a cheetah runs, it arches its back and puts the hind paws down in front of the forepaws. Then when it pushes off and goes into full stretch, it gets a very long stride. There is a limit to how fast muscles can move, so to get to the speed at which cheetahs run, it has to have a really long stride.
