Most of them interfere with the body's normal physiology.

Most "recreational" drugs are picked because they confuse themselves with neurotransmitters - except alcohol which just interferes with the release of all the neurotransmitters.

It depends what drug your talking about. If your talking about tylenol, advil, aspirin or anyt other types of pain killers or fever relief pills, then it will only take the pain away, and make you feel better. As for drugs like marijuana, speed, cocain, meth, and much more, it can affect many parts of your body, especially your brain. When taking drugs, you might feel good and happy, but it will damage your internal organs, like your lungs, your brain, and it will affect your skin and change your appearance to looking much older and ugly. Many people don't know that, but if you take marujiana, it tends to make you very forgetfull too. There are many sde effects that teens and adults, or anyone can get without evern realizing. Drugs also make your life shorter, and if you overdose, you may die or get hospitalized.

It depends on the type of drug, the dose, and the duration of treatment.

A drug is any substance that affects the way your mind and body functions, so technically food is a drug.
