We can say, generally, that just about anything that is introduced into our bodies - food, beverages, or drugs - whether they be prescribed medication or illegal drugs - can cause harm to the body. Therefore it is up to us to be careful and make what decision is necessary, as to any thing we want to introduce into our bodies. Drugs are definitely no exception: especially illegal drugs, those we certainly know cause harm to our bodies.

Medications can have side effects and other adverse reactions. But for the most part, the manufacturers of drugs have ensured, through formulation, research, testing, and government approval (FDA), that the medications we take are relatively safe. At the same time, the same testing protocols, researching, and other information, were used to reveal the dangers of illegal drugs, such as marijuana, cocaine, heroin, methamphetamine, and a host of others, and therefore having a search drugs illegal or heavily controlled by the DEA, in order to protect us from such harm. With these drugs mentioned, not only are they harmful to the user, but they have a rippling effect among those who come in contact with the user, ranging from close family members and friends, to ancillary workers such as UPS/FedEx, postal carriers, and other people the user comes in contact with.

Illegal drugs aren't good for anyone, but they are particularly bad for a kid or teen whose body is still growing. Illegal drugs can damage the brain, heart, and other important organs. Cocaine, for instance, can cause a heart attack - even in a kid or teen.

While using drugs, people are also less able to do well in school, sports, and other activities. It's often harder to think clearly and make good decisions. People can do dumb or dangerous things that could hurt them - or other people - when they use drugs.

- Amphetamines (psychological addiction, psychosis, irritability, fatigue, weight loss)

- Alcohol (physical and psychological addiction, brain damage, liver damage, cancer of the mouth, throat, esophagus and stomach, early onset alzheimers, parkinsons disease, korsakoff's syndrome, coma, death)

- Barbiturates (physical and psychological addiction, coma, death)

- Cannabis (clouded thinking, forgetfulness, when smoked along with tobacco reduced stamina, weight gain)

- Cocaine (psychological addiction, psychosis, anxiety, fatigue, weight loss, erosion of the nasal passages when snorted, lung problems when smoked)

- Ecstacy (psychological addiction, psychosis, depression, fatigue, weight loss)
