Mostly pups [babys] because they tumble all over the place.They get tumbled on.Southurn species mate in September to October.Northurn species mate in December to January. Females are pregnent for 11 months.They have 1 pup. The female elephant seal is not ready to mate again.She has to wate intell the pup is fully weaned. In 4 weeks the pup is triple its weight from when it was newborn.
