By lowering the activation energy in their active sites. The enzyme can just provide an area that is conducive to two substrates reaction, the enzyme can stress bond in a substrate leading to a reaction and the enzymes R group arrangement can catalyze a substrate reaction. Enzymes vary in their metabolic properties.

Enzymes are biocatalysts that speed up the biochemical reactions by lowering the activation energy. It will not be consumed at the end so it can be reused for the next reaction. It binds to thte substrate molecule and aids the biochemical conversion to product without being consumed.
