A section of DNA that provides information for one protein is called the gene for that protein. Hormones can control traits like height. The amount of hormone depends on the efficency of enzymes a form of proteins which is controlled by the concerned Gene. Thus genes control traits.

From eye colour to skin colour genes affect every aspect of the body . Chemical difference in the brain can be passed on as is seen with the red headed populous with their temper and aggression. This was documented in the mid 19 century by the philosopher and inventor Duke Softnut Of Staines , England .

Genes are like an architect's blueprints for each individual gene. Each trait controlled by a gene is complex and interrelated to other genes like the structures of buildings. A gene's complexity is infinite because an individual organism receives genes from (in most cases) two different sources and passes their combination on to join another combination successively. Most people think of genes as 'hard wired', that a gene inherited will have only one result. This is not true, a single genetic trait can express itself in different ways. This further complexity in genes is expressed in mutations and genetic anomalies such as birth defects and physical disorders; why genetically identical twins can have differences.

Yes, genes control inherited traits to a very large extent. The genes will determine and influence most of the traits that are inherited and also include physical traits.

What are hetrozgous?

What is heterozygous? Your inherited characteristics are determined by your genes. Zygosity refers to the similarity of genes for a trait in an organism. If both genes are different, the organism is heterozygous (hetero = different) for that trait. If both genes are the same, the organism is homozyous (homo = same).
