for primary weapons first 25 kills for a bronze, then 50 for a silver and finally 100 kills for a gold star.
For pistols and vehicles, stationary turrets ect you only need 10 for a bronze star, 25 for a silver and 50 for gold.
10 gold stars to platinum.
If your talking in the kill cam the weapon is gold then that means that they brought the Expansion pack which gives them 4 more camo choices for their charatars and new camos for the M16 mg3 lmg, ump and m95
