To express any fraction as a decimal, use long division
to divide the numerator by the denominator.
Say the decimal out loud to yourself, and the way it sounds will be the fraction. If it is an improper fraction, I'm guessing you know how to change it to a mixed number. For example, if it was .25, then it would be 25 over 100.
11/25 = 0.44 as a decimal
12% as a fraction = 12/100 = 3/25 in its simplest form 12% as a decimal = 0.12
The fraction 2/25 as a decimal is 0.08, and the fraction 4/25 as a decimal is 0.16. Therefore, when written as a decimal, 2/25 + 4/25 is equal to 0.24.
use .25 as an example: 1) Place the decimal number over 1 in fraction form: .25/1 2) Remove the decimal and place as many zeroes to the right of the 1 as there are numbers to the right of the decimal mark: change .25/1 to 25/100 3) Reduce the fraction to its lowest term: 25/100 = 1/4
6/25 = 0.24

It is: 0.08 = 2/25 as a fraction in its lowest terms

0.16 = 16/100 = 4/25
To convert a fraction to a percent, you first divide the numerator by the denominator. And then multiply by 100, which moves your decimal point two places to the right.Another way to do it, or check your answer, is to make the fraction equivalent to a denominator of 100. So if you were to convert 8/25 to X/100, your new numerator would be the percentage.
16% = 16/100 = 0.16 as a decimal and 16% = 16/100 = 4/25 as a fraction.
