You first disconnect the battery, then drain the cooling system, discount belt from engine and water belt pulley, then remove the water pump bolts and remove the water pump, then you install the new water pump and put everything back.
How do you replace the line coming from the water pump going to the thermostat on a 1992 Honda accord?
Why is there coolant leaking from a small hole in the engine block of your 1992 Honda accord lx the hole is about the size of drinking straw and is located directly above the divers side CV boot?
If it's the hole I'm thinking of on the top side of the engine, on the side closest to the firewall, it sounds to me like a freeze plug popped out, the same thing happened to my '90 accord lx. Hope it's helpful. Water pumps all have a hole that will begin leaking out coolant as the rubber seal in the water pump gets older -- it is the reason that a water pump needs…
From what I know about most cars the wisdom is the water pump and the rear seals. But, at least the water pump as it only will cost you about another $90-$110 if you do it with the belts and much more if you have to do it later if you only need to change the water pump. It's all about the labor and tearing it apart. This is the wisdom that I have heard.

If VW passat 2003 The coolant temperature needle is fluctuating between 50 and 90 degree and sometimes it doesn't rises from 50 what is the problem even though water pump was changes?
The best way to replace the coolant elbow is to remove the water pump and insert the new elbow before inserting the bolts for the water pump. Check that there are no pieces of the old plastic elbow lodged inside. Replace both elbows (if so equipt) at the same time. If you need additional information look for the write up of how to replace a water pump on a grand prix. Hope this helps. "G"
That's just how long it takes to get the water that is sitting in the pipe out. Unless you have a circulating pump on the line so that there is always hot water at the faucet, it always takes a bit of time for the water to get hot. The hot water is in the tank, not the pipe connecting it to the faucet. There is nothing in the pipe to keep the water hot.
