You probably can't. You will probably need the cable converter box to make the signal usable. You could split off of his cable from his box to his TV if you wanted to watch the same program he is watching. Many of the systems now only send one signal at a time...the one that the box calls for when channels are changed.

How do you split digital cable from one TV to Two TVs?

SEVERAL FACTORS. IF YOU ONLY HAVE 1 RECIEVER, PLUG LINE FROM
WALL INTO THE INPUT ON YOUR RECIEVER. THEN, HOOK A CABLE WIRE FROM
OUTPUT TO A SPLITTER & RUN A CABLE FROM EACH SIDE OF THE
SPLITTER TO EACH RESPECTIVE TV. IT IS IMPORTANT TO KNOW THAT BOTH
TV'S WILL HAVE TO WATCH THE SAME THING AS THERE IS ONLY ONE
RECIEVER FEEDING BOTH TV'S.

Can you hook up more than 2 tv's to a satellite box?

The connect more than 2 TVs to a receiver, you need to splitter
to split the signal for the TV to take to another TV. You can get a
splitter at Radio Shack. The cable should be a RG6 coax cable. If
you want to split TV 1 with anything other than a coax cable you
need to get a special splitter for the type cable you are using
from the receiver to the TV; RCA, component, or HDMI. HDMI does
have a length limitation.
When you mirror 2 TVs, the same program is on both TVs; when you
change channels it will change both TVs channels.

If you have cable hooked up in all your romms in your house how do you hook up another TV?

I assume you have cable boxes on all the other tv's? And you
just want to add one with out having to pay for another box from
the cable co? Well you can by putting a splitter on the TV nearest
to where the new one you one to hook up is and run the wire to it.
And there you go. You can get splitter and the cables in the dollar
stores now. I warning ... Most cable comp. such as mine, If you
don't have the box on it my channels won't go past channel 100..
Which defeats my purpose as all the shows my kids watch are above
channel 100... So that is how they get you to pay for the box or
just go ahead and deal with only up to channel 100. I have Comcast
so I do not know how far up other companys will let you go up to
with the splitter and no box..
Hope that helps you!
