Jumping is an explosive movement that requires conditioning to recruit the rapid/intermediate fibers that propel you upward. Help out these fibers by stretching.... stretching.... and more stretching. Often when relaxing, sleeping, seated or any situation when the leg is not straight the tendons in back of the
leg shorten. You have to over come this when you jump and it holds you back.
