I am assuming that you want to migrate from a GBA game to Pokemon Diamond, Pearl, or Platinum. These are the only games that Pokemon can be migrated to. Now, follow these easy steps:
- First, make sure you acquire any legal Pokemon RPG GBA game (Ruby, Sapphire, Firered, Leafgreen, or Emerald).
- Second, make sure you acquire any legal Pokemon RPG DS game (Diamond, Pearl, or Platinum.
- In one of the GBA games, make sure that there are exactly six Pokemon you are planning to migrate.
- Make sure none of your Pokemon that are going to migrate know any HM's. If they do, get the Move Deleter in that particular game to delete that move immediately; otherwise you would be unable to migrate that Pokemon.
- Put all six of your Pokemon that you want to migrate in the PC in a Pokemon Center (any box, it doesn't matter, as long as you know you can find them again).
- Save, and turn off your GBA game.
- Acquire a DS or DS Lite system. A DSi will NOT work, because it does not have a GBA slot.
- Insert the GBA game which has the Pokemon which you want to migrate in the GBA slot of your DS or DS Lite system.
- Turn on your DS or DS Lite system.
- Go to your Pokemon game and DO NOT SELECT Continue! Select the option that says "MIGRATE FROM :whatever GBA game to plan to migrate from:"
- Say "YES" to all the questions.
- Choose the Pokemon which you want to migrate.
- Wait for them to come to your DS game.
- Go to Pal Park, which is located on Route 221.
- Catch your Pokemon, save, and have fun.

You just migrate them, its ur choice if u want to start a new game and delete your old one. Or you could get Pokesav and buy an AR and make ur own cheat to replicate ur Pokemon from ur fire red so you don't hvae to migrate them. But that takes a lot of time ( maybe an hour or two )
