They move slower because in a solid the molecule move faster and in a gas they move slower, therefore, they will move slower. :)

What happens to snow molecules during phase change?

The snow (solid) become water (liquid); the distances between molecules are decreased during the change of phase.

What happen to the ices molecules during this phase change?

The ice (solid) become water (liquid); the distances between molecules are decreased during the change of phase, also the attraction forces.

Where do molecules go when ice melts?

The melting of ice is a change of phase, from solid to liquid, a physical processus. The molecules of water (H2O) remain unchanged during the change of phase.

What type of change occur when water changes from a solid to a liquid?

its a phase change

What is a substance called when it change from solid to liquid?

This physical phenomenon (a change of phase) is called melting; during melting the chemical nature of molecules is not changed.

What is the phase change from liquid to gas?

The phase change for liquid to gas is vaporization, which includes evaporation and boiling.Evaporation - The change of liquid molecules on the surface of a liquid to a gas.Boiling - The change of phase at or above the boiling point of the liquid, which takes place at nucleation sites within the liquid.

What phase change does the arrangement of water molecules become most orderly?

During fusion, or the formation of a solid, as in liquid water turning to ice.

Substance changes from solid to liquid?

This physical phenomenon (a change of phase) is called melting; during melting the chemical nature of molecules is not changed but the bonds between molecules are weakened.

When the molecules in a body move with increased speed it is possible that the body will change from what to what?

As the molecules in a body move with increased speed, i.e. increasing kinetic energy, it is possible that the body will change from the solid phase to the liquid phase, or the liquid phase to the gas phase, and in some cases from the solid directly to the gas phase.
