Penguins are able to survive the cold because they have a variety of unique adaptations:
Incidentally, not all penguins live in freezing temperatures. Some are found as far north as the Galapagos Islands.
1000 penguins can be in one group huddling together
Penguins are adapted to survive the freezing Antarctic weather in a variety of ways.
with its thick fur and blubber
Sorry to interrupt but there is more to this answer.
That is really true that they keep themselves warm by it's thick fur and blubber but when it comes to blizzards, they cant stand but freezing so they huddle like what us humans do when were cold.
Penguins take turns being in the middle because it's warmer in the middle of the huddle.
Hope this helped you a lot. :)
The best example is the emperor penguin, Aptenodytes forsteri, which is the tallest and heaviest of all living penguin species found in the Antarctica. When the female lays a single egg, the male places the egg on his feet and covers it with a fold of stomach skin to keep it warm. The female then goes to sea to feed. Eventually, the female will return, usually to find that their chick has hatched and the female is able to give it food from her crop. After swopping over the chick, the male is then free to go to sea to feed. When the chick has grown enough, both parents can go to sea to feed, leaving the chick to gather into a crèche with other chicks.
As to surviving the extreme cold, the male is protected by a thick layer of blubber, and by grouping closely together for warmth. They will shuffle round, as those on the outside moves into the warmer centre of the group.
Penguins are quite fat so that layer of skin keeps them warmer and they have ver tiny ears so less heat escapes. I know this as i am doing this at school.
Penguins keep warm by huddling up into big groups, having large layers of body fat and are adapted to the habitat.
by their flubbed
pengquen
No, penguins do not need to keep warm because they live in a very cold climate.
Because they don't want to be cold.
they are very warm from there bushy fur. www.youtube/likeaboss.com
Because penguins have fur to keep them warm.
to keep warm since it is cold up in the Artic region. to keep warm they swim since they are use to the cold.
To help keep warm.
Penguins are warm blooded.
Penguins live in a very cold climate, and therefore they need an extra layer of fat to keep them warm.
yes becouse the got this kind of blubber like whales and the keep warm from the water and the cold temperature
The blubber helps keep penguins warm during the winter and the cold water.
Penguins were made to live in cold places. Their "feathers" keep them warm especially when they are swimming.
brood pouch-a pouch of skin where some penguins store their eggs
