The nitrogen cycle is the process by which nitrogen is converted between its various chemical forms. This transformation can be carried out through both biological and physical processes. Important processes in the nitrogen cycle include fixation, ammonification, nitrification, and denitrification.

organisms play an important part in the nitrogen cycle. they play an important part because the gases they breathe contain nitrogen and when they exhale they put nitrogen back in the air. when they die they release nitrogen and it goes into the air.

I think u know that

Nitrogen exists in many states. In its most common gaseous state of N2, nitrogen forms very strong covalent bonds that can only be broken when great force or energy is applied (eg. seismic event or lightening), or by particular bacteria species which use nitrogenous compounds for metabolism. The fact is various bacteria are critical to every step of the nitrogen cycle. It is these bacteria and their specific roles that are of particular interest to reefkeepers.

Is the nitrogen cycle possible without decomposers andf why?

The nitrogen cycle would not be possible without decomposers, because the decomposers role is to break down the nitrogen containing chemicals into simpler chemicals. So to answer your question, no it is not possible, hope this helped.
