•The political parties want and do have an influence on the country depending whether they are in power or not. This has a big effect on the country as the public choose who they want from there manifesto.

Only established and nationalised parties stand any real chance of election due to their popularity except for the green party who had 1 member of parliament representing Brighton in the general election which took a lot of time and effort.
