Answer

A Bass Guitar fuctions in the same way that all types of electric Guitars do. The only thing that differentiates a bass guitar from a stardard Electric Guitar is the number of strings and the thickness of those strings.

Electric guitars (including bass guitars) are plugged into an amp. One end of the cord is plugged into the guitar, and the other end is plugged into an amp. Electricity goes through this cord and into the pickups of the guitar. (Pickups are the the raised-up things found on the body of the guitar under the strings at the part of the guitar where the strings are picked.) The electricity in the pickups creates an electro-magnetic field that senses the string movement and literally "picks up" the sound. The pickups sense the sound waves and send the message of those waves back through the guitar and down the cord again. This message goes into the amp and produces the audiable sound that you hear.

the guitar double bass sounds like this ``wiuwiuwiiii`` is just my opinion

It's the lowest pitched bowed instrument in the modern orchestra, so the sound is pretty low. It is an octave lower then the middle C making it the lowest sound in the violin family (it's three octaves lower then the cello) I'm not sure if that helps but....

A bass is a stringed instrument that is played by either plucking the strings or running a bow across them to create vibration (sound). You put your fingers on the strings higher up to make a different note.

If you refer to the bass drum, there are two ways to make a double bass. Firstly, you can simply have two separate bass drums, each with their own pedal. Secondly, you can buy a double bass pedal, which has two pedals and mallets which are designed to strike a single bass drum.

You pluck the string (or rub it with a bow) and it vibrates, which sets up vibrations in the air. The body of the bass exists to serve as a resonant cavity to amplify the sound.
