Plants cannot move around. If they are growing in an area where conditions are not ideal, they

cannot move to a different location. Instead, they can grow in different directions to seek

resources they need to survive. For example, tropisms allow plants to get water and light.

. Because if there wasn't tropism in a plant, the plant would die because tropisms are what makes the roots of a plant grow towards the water in the soil. So without tropism, the plant couldn't get water.

Because if they were not present, the roots would grow up and the leaves may grow down and the plant would then not be able to get water or sunlight.
