Does global warming also make the world colder?

Some areas may see lower temperatures, depending on how ocean currents shift, but the majority of the world will see higher temperatures from global warming.

Why some areas are colder?

depending on the climate different areas can be colder or hotter. closer to the equator will be warmer and likewise farther from the equator will be colder but besides that u have to factor in the height of the land and the usual weather those are all factors of the climate or the "area"

How do ocean currents affect air temperature in coastal areas?

Warm Ocean currents warms the air above it and some move from the tropic towards both poles ---------------------------------------------------------AND----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Cold Ocean currents also affect weather patterns by bringing cold water from polar to the equator

What is the annual wind speed in wetlands?

Why are some currents cold and some warm?

Why do convection currents not occur in some components of the structure of the earth?

Convection currents can occur in either a gas or liquid medium but not in a solid medium (so you can have them in air, and you can have them in magma, but you can't have them in solid rock) and they only occur when there is a temperature difference, so that hotter, less dense material will rise, and colder, denser material will sink.

Why do some states get snow every winter?

It depends on their location and other natural factors. The further somewhere is from the equator, the colder its winter will be. So places further from the equator are more likely to get snow. Places with high mountains in those areas far from the equator are more likely to get snow than at ground level. Winds and even sea currents can have an impact. So there are lots of reasons why some places get snow.

Is it colder in Maine or New Mexico?

In general, Maine is colder than New Mexico. However, this can vary by date and by exact location; some of the coastal areas around southern Maine, such as Portland, can be warmer than the high mountains of New Mexico.
