On the driver's side of the engine block you should see either 318 or 360 stamped.
A Dodge Intrepid has never been offered with a 4 cylinder engine.
Which one? Jeep, Dodge and Toyota have a 4.7 L engine.
We have a 2003 Dodge Intrepid and it has 249,300 on it. The alternator and radiator have been replaced and a broken wire has been replaced on the transmission. This car has the 2.7L engine.
The serial number on the engine would also be the vehicle identification number. Keep in mind the engine may have been swapped out during the cars lifetime. The engine serial number is located over the water inlet on the driver's side of the engine block.
To the best of my knowledge there have only been V10's.
The Dodge pickup trucks with Cummins engines are diesel turbocharger engines. They are built by the Cummins company and have been used in Dodge Ram trucks since 1989.
The Dodge Dart either came with a 6-cylinder (referred to as a Slant Six) or 8-cylinder (V8) engine. This is, of course referring to the Dart of the sixties and seventies, NOT the ones that have been recently released by Dodge.
generally you could remove a head and measure the bore with a micrometer. then read specs on the vehicle and what it's original engines bore was. make sure an engine was not swapped into the original engines place.
Yes, you can, but I am unsure if it has been done. People have swapped the V12 engine to 89-95 5-series. You will need the computer, harness, and probably the transmission as well. If you need more info, you can check out www.bimmerforums.com. Fed
Not normally, if it has been overheated the head may be warped/cracked.
